I try to keep them deadheaded to prolong the pretty! I never have birds on the seedheads so don't bother leaving them, but a few at the end of the season to grow.
The black-eyed Susans kind of overpower the other things! There are borage, several kinds of coreopsis. Knautia. Fennel. A few surprises this year in four o'clocks and a Sweet William. There was nothing at all in the far back part of my yard when I moved in.
