Black-Eyed Susans in the Toss Garden

They did begin as literal tossed seed heads.  It's still the area I throw my deadheading, and leftover seeds.

 Have a great weekend!

    1. I try to keep them deadheaded to prolong the pretty! I never have birds on the seedheads so don't bother leaving them, but a few at the end of the season to grow.

  4. I love the concept of a "toss garden" where you throw your old seedheads and such.

    1. The black-eyed Susans kind of overpower the other things! There are borage, several kinds of coreopsis. Knautia. Fennel. A few surprises this year in four o'clocks and a Sweet William. There was nothing at all in the far back part of my yard when I moved in.
