 Thursday Thirteen on October 13!

Saturday is Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day, so I'm holding off sharing my colorful flowers, because it's been a nice warm early fall, and there are lots of blooms.  Instead, I'm sharing thirteen mono shots.

  1. I keep thinking I'll dabble in B&W photography and then I never do (maybe because I did it too much in my youth, when color film/processing was too expensive for my family). It's a different way to look at things. I liked the seed pictures - assuming they were seeds.

    1. I too remember the film, color or black and white, and the different sized for the family's different cameras! I took an old, old box camera to summer camp. I wish I still had it, it's probably a fun collector's item now. It's so easy now to use a camera, or even easier, the phone camera, to switch between color and mono, and all in between and at either ends too. I have a camera, but I forget how to use it.

  2. Those are nice. People don't use black and white enough anymore. It's a technique all of its own.

  3. Gorgeous shots! I forget how dramatic B&W photos can be.

  4. This made me think of the time someone took ultraviolet pics of flowers. They had to be shown in B&W as our eyes can't see ultraviolet light. There were interesting stripes and things that insects could see that we couldn't. It was fascinating.

    1. I've been neglecting Poets and Storytellers United, I need to get back to it. No reasons, no excuses. I don't know why.
