Thursday Postcard Hunt - Travel: Your Own Country
Thursday Postcard Hunt's theme in July is Travel. This first week is Your Own Country.
My country is the United States.
We have...
Beaches On Coasts, Both East and West
and Sand Dunes
Cities Big and Small
Next week our Travel theme takes us to A Place You'd Like to Visit (but Haven't).
...Lisa, this is a fabulous collection!
ReplyDeleteI have SO many US postcards! I just got 50 more for 5 cents each yesterday. Just in case I need a postcard of Santa Barbara or the Union Pacific switching yard c1960!
Deleteyou are like me - I also have so many cards of Canada - many of them vintage!
DeleteYes, I have so many linens from Florida!
DeleteThere's quite a difference between the east and west coast beaches. You've manage to include a little bit of everything to suit anyone's taste (including salt!)
ReplyDeleteThe salt flats are very popular! It's public land, but part of it is dedicated to the Booneville Speedway, where land speed races (and records) are made. They are hard and flat, so perfect for that. Not my sort of thing...
DeleteOn a long ago road trip, I remember being rather excited at seeing the salt flats. My friends thought I was a little weird.
DeleteCarmel... Oooh, nice. Great selection.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Carmel...!
DeleteSuper collection!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteFrom sea to shining sea in postcards, impressive. Love the waterfall.
ReplyDeleteThat's Punch Bowl Falls on Eagle Creek, Oregon.
DeleteGreat blog
ReplyDeleteOf course you have everything in such a big and beautiful country! :)
