Nearly Wordless Once Again
Wordless Wednesday, or as in the case of last week, nearly Wordless.
And, also as in the case of last week, mushrooms and a bonus of Bird Nest fungi. This time, not the park, my own backyard. I've been searching for Bird's Nest fungi for the past couple of weeks!
We are past the fungi season. Still have some snow in my front yard from yesterday's first accumulation (not much, but enough to coat everything and make my steps icy.) I have never seen a birds nest fungus but yes, I can see how it got its name.
ReplyDeleteIf I can have a favorite fungi... it would be Bird's Nest! The "eggs" explode the spores all out of the "nest." Then it fills with rain water.
DeleteMushrooms creep me out for some reason. But photos don't.
