Motley Monday - June 9, 2025

A leaf-cutter bee in Gay Butterflies butterfly weed.  Leaf-cutters carry pollen on their abdomens rather than legs like honeybees.  I'll be noticing round pieces of leaves missing soon.

Longfield's Pink daylily

Delosperma Cooperi - a kind of succulent native to South Africa.

Some of my Sweet William have flowers that are rather blah, but not this one!

A pink speedwell or Veronica. 

Ditch Lilies, or the common orange daylily, is invasive in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.  

My favorite weed, moth mullein.
