The weekend after the City-Wide sale one of the regular yard sale people had a yard sale.  They told me they'd held off on sale day due to the possibly rainy weather.  They didn't have the selection of vintage miscellaneous they usually have, and I thought I'd leave empty handed.  Then, in the dark of the garage, made darker by my eyes not adjusted from the sunshine yet, I found a table of brass incense burners or censors.  The people's prices are usually dirt cheap, but first I picked out four and asked how much they'd be.  $2.  Okay... let's add more, up to eleven of them!  Then, how about the Waltham watch, in the box with instructions and all?  "A couple of bucks."  All right then, $6 and we called it good!

I got incense burners from India, China, and Japan.  From newer vintage back to this one dating 1890-1900, from China.  It's my favorite, and I could just tell it was older by how heavy it was when I first picked it up.

Another favorite is this man.  You'd think this was also from China, but it's Japanese.  Most online are calling it Chinese, but the hallmark clearly reads Japan.

These rest are either marked India, or of the same style.

Two magic lanterns! One missing it's lid.  I guess the smoke comes out the tip.

One of the lanterns has pretty etchings.

I gave the watch to my son.
