Another Motley Monday - April 28, 2025

Saturday was a rainy day, and Sunday started out cold enough to turn the heat on.  In the afternoon it was sunny and warm enough to take a walk to the park without a jacket.  

Which is what Mickey and I did.  Or, to the playground, where we could see the park progress.  I heard on good authority the park will be open sometime next month.  We'll see.  As for what we didn't see yesterday, we didn't see any evidence they are building a "small restroom", which was in news reports.

The ground has all been leveled, flagged, and whatnot.  I don't know if it's seeded or will be.  I can't imagine they'd pay to sod it all.  

Some of the new landscape plants are in flower.  This is cinquefoil.

In my yard the blue flax is blooming.  I like how it bobs in the breeze.

Yeah, purple salsify is a weed (unless you're one of the people who grow for the edible roots), but it's beautiful.

I did a favor for a friend and in thanks she gave me postcards and stamps!  Lots of postcards!  Lots of stamps!

I could do an A to Z from all the stamps!  Almost.  I could never do it though, even with all my stamps, there is no country beginning with X.  

I thought this was an interesting stamp.  1980 Finland, and a search says it's Christmas, and depicts "traditional games."  What kind of games do they play in Finland on Christmas? 🤣

Mickey was in a happy mood even before we went on our walk.  I'll leave you with this cute face!
