USA 1969 Mission Bells at Carmel Mission, Carmel, CA
Carmel Mission is one of the missions that is still a working Catholic basilica with regular services and a school.
The stamp came on a first day of issue postcard.
What's up for next week's stamp theme? Patterns!
The Notre Dame stamps are so detailed and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh, another of the Notre Dame set - I love these. I was trying to find out of the bells are still rung at the Mission. I hope so.
ReplyDeleteAh, Carmel...
ReplyDeleteNotre Dame - A favorite this week. Love your stamps of it.
ReplyDeleteNôtre-Dame wins this week! :)
ReplyDeleteI like church bells, neat stamp. The recreation of the Notre Dame roof framework is fascinating. I heard the English members of the Carpenters Beyond Borders project talking about the privilege of being involved in this job of a lifetime, although it was technically challenging.
