June 4, 2025 - Some Random Videos and Stuff

 Still fighting off this sinus infection (the cough is almost gone), with the help of Augmentin.  Sinus infections sure hang on. 

A few weeks ago I was pulling weeds around the water meter and disturbed an ant nest. The ants had trouble moving the larvae, they were bigger than the ants.  Sorry ants. 

Last week was the first "Pool Day" for Mickey.  A rare day when my cough was better and the sinuses hadn't hit in yet.

First the "dig dig."

Then the wiping dry.

Followed by the roll.

He then remembered how fun it is to chew the pool.  He spits out the pieces.

A European paper wasp (an invasive species in Oregon that negatively affect Monarch butterfly caterpillars and outcompete the native wasps) has started a nest on the edge of the picnic table bench.  They are very adaptable and often choose man-made areas to build nests, like eaves, mailboxes, outdoor light fixtures, and fence railings. I learned that it's the queen who starts this process, so here's The Queen!  

No, I won't allow it to stay.  Just long enough to see what happens for another day, then when The Queen is away I'll knock it down.
