Thursday Postcard Hunt - Colorful Trees/Flowers
Thursday Postcard Hunt gives us Colorful Trees and/or Flowers for the first of May's theme, Colorful.
Meal Under the Trees, from a painting by Nicole Legault.
North Carolina Long Leaf Pine showing the previous year's cone, the growing cone with lavender flowers and embryo cone with matures 1.5 years later.
The Jacaranda Trees in Florida.
Up next week is Colorful Skies.
Not a postcard, but to add to the colorful pine flowers, this is a photo I took at the nearby park a few years ago of Ponderosa Pine flowers and previous year's cones. I think they are prettier than the North Carolina pines!
Great blog
ReplyDeleteI have never seen jacaranda trees in bloom and I have a feeling pictures (or postcards) wouldn't do them justice.
ReplyDeleteThey all seem to bloom at once. And then those purple flowers are everywhere. Kinda a mess.
DeleteLove the first card with painting. Also jacaranda trees are so beautiful! Great picture of the pine flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat first one is very colorful. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI like the colour palette of the painting, nice match with the blue pine cone
ReplyDeleteOh, jacaranda are wonderful trees! You stay near them when the breeze flows, and a light rain of blue flowers covers you :)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing.
Oh dear, I've just looked up 'jacaranda'. I've always liked the name and the look, but have now read up on the mess they create! The first card is so serene.
