A few things from a few different places.
I am not "into" brass like so many I see online in blogs and Instagram are, however, this brass hen and chick and fence napkin holder was only $1.49 at Goodwill! I don't use napkin holders for napkins, and I don't think I'm alone in this, as they are also sold as letter holders. They are perfect on desks to hold mail, and to hold my postcards while I'm working on my collection. This seems to be dated to the 1950s.
Peppy the Penguin, a lone shaker, is from the Goodwill at the other end of town. Of course, the price sticker peeled off black paint! Common sense would be to put stickers on bottoms and backs.
I made a quick Goodwill Bins stop for reading material. They had plenty, I got 14 books. A pair of sandals my size, like new. A few holiday items you have to wait to see.
I found this watercolor of birches. Unfortunately it's an odd size, and no frame (evidence it had one, which was probably broken in the bins).
I may have found the artist's initials carved into a trunk!
My cats have a lot of beds already, but I couldn't resist this cupcake!
Baby Cat crawled in before I had a chance to turn it right side up! I was going to clean it too, but she had other plans.
First there was a slight scuffle over ownership. Benny didn't really want it, he just didn't want her to have it. He's that way.
It's missing a pompom, but for the price the cashier charged me (25¢ since she said it looked like a pillow to her, and had a pillow inside, and pillows are 25¢) it's fine! Especially since this is sold on line from the company for $79.00 and Amazon for $65.00! For a cat bed? At least I learned on the company site it's fully machine washable. Which I was going to do... if Baby Cat hadn't had other ideas. For a few days solid she only left it to eat, drink, or use her box!
Come back next Tuesday for more "Treasures"!
I think Baby Cat rather liked the cupcake. Apparently it didn't smell foul or she wouldn't have lived in it for that long.
ReplyDeleteGood point. And no one got fleas! I'd hate that, we've been flea free for years and years. The cats don't go outside, so that helps.
DeleteYou found some good things. I especially like the painting. Glad Baby Cat liked the cupcake bed. You can never tell with cats. :)
ReplyDeleteVery true! Baby Cat loves the hut sort of beds, she also has a white one we call her igloo. It's the cupcake she uses most of the day though.
DeleteI love Peppy and the cupcake cat house.
ReplyDeletePeppy is cute. I have smaller Salty and Peppy shakers, they look like Campbell's kids.
DeleteI think the cupcake cat bed is so cute. Nice that Baby Cat agreed. I would have bought the brass chicken napkin holder just because I like chickens.
ReplyDeleteI have the chickens holding masks by the back door! Because, there are still times I wear one. Like today, I went to urgent care since my fever isn't leaving. 'Flu even though it's not the season, and the fever lasts 10 days! Ick.
DeleteThat cupcake house looks so nice!
