"Shadow of a woman reading a book."
The woman is me, waiting for my oil change to be finished! The book? Oddly enough, it's called The Poe Shadow, by Matthew Pearl. It's one of my 25¢ Goodwill Bins books.
Gardening in Southern Oregon zone 8b, with pets, past reflections, and "Tuesday Treasures" thrown in!
Interesting enough shadow that I looked up the book on Goodreads. The book has an interesting premise. Hoping it was executed well.
ReplyDeleteIt's keeping my interest, and for historical fiction that is saying a lot. I can probably count how many of those I've liked on one hand. Probably two fingers. It might not be so interesting if I didn't know Poe's writings. I will say, there was a spoiler to one of them at the beginning. So, if you haven't read The Murders at the Rue Morgue, either read that or don't read this. It tells "who done it."
DeleteGreat shadow! Great books come from all over, even Goodwill 25 cent bins.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. I'm not sure this is a "great book," but it's not bad!
DeleteGreat blog
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteIt's fun to see a shadow of you.
ReplyDeleteIt was just laying there on the floor waiting for me!
DeleteFun shadow of you.
ReplyDeleteI thought it would be something different than my usual plant shadows!
