Sunset at 7:42 and 7:44 a week ago.
To the south.
To the west.

I try to take a look outside every evening, just in case.

It was, and they are so short lived. Go inside for a moment, and miss them.

Lovely colors - pinks, orange like orange sherbet.

Yeah, it's getting dark earlier and earlier. Pretty orange skies.
Quickly too. The stray cat I feed on the carport (I guess it's a stray, it finishes all the food I give it every night) starts waiting under the car at dark, and it's been waiting longer!
Beautiful! You are such a skywatcher knowing to look in all directions at a sunset.
Many sunsets are more to the north, but there are so many wires and poles it's not easy to enjoy them.
That's beautiful! The angle of the sun and the rises and sets are so lovely this time of year.
