Motley Monday - November 27, 2023
The creeping winter savory is blooming. One is in a planter near the prostrate rosemary (in the background), and it tends to be overlooked since they resemble each other. Winter savory is a perennial, summer savory is an annual.
Mornings have been in the 20s, with frost pretty enough to brave the cold and get photos.
The frost was heavy on the Spintop Orange Halo blanketflower.
The Turkish sage hasn't been cut back yet, and I may not do it until spring!
The blow-mold nativity camel was dusted. I've been putting the Christmas things out. It should be done by tomorrow or Wednesday.
California poppy leaves were frozen onto the rocks. Most of them, and the calendulas, are finally wilted from the cold.
These are are particularly pretty frosted weeds!
Onion chive seeds...
...and the first of the bird's nest fungi. The "eggs" haven't emerged yet.
The garden still looks pretty good.
