Few Word Wednesday - September 4, 2024
I'll keep it simple, just a few words and some pretty pictures. I guess that's "Short and Sweet."
The Dud of the Year Award goes to Fejee or True Beefsteak tomato for its lack of production. Huge plant, puts out flowers, not a single fruit. The little ones you see on the right are from the Sun Sugar next to it.

Galeux d'Eysines is getting its "warts"!
I'm off to get my tires rotated.
Growing tomatoes can break your heart sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIt's so disappointing when tomatoes end up being duds - I've had the same thing happen with a beefsteak. Yay for warts!
ReplyDeleteYou can never go wrong with morning glories. Too bad about your dud tomato. I used to like to grow something twice before calling it a dud but, nowadays, I tend to be a bit less forgiving of an initial dud year.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous morning glory!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful climbers...and productive, too! (Re: the tomatoes...it must be a bad year for them in many locations. Mine aren't producing many fruits either, but the ones I've harvested sure have been tasty!)
