Sunflower Tanka: An Anthology of Tanka, Tanka Prose, & Experimental Tanka

Well, sunflowers are in a garden, so this isn't totally off topic!

Sunflower Tanka: An Anthology of Tanka, Tanka Prose, & Experimental TankaContributing editors Robbie Cheadle and Colleen M. Chesebro, is now available in print and for Kindle on Amazon.

I am honored to have four of my poems included in this volume, the first of what I hope will be many more to come.
Here is one of my poems, a Tanka Puente, which was first published in the 1st Edition of Sunflower Tanka in 2024.

Sweater Weather

deep into autumn
when skies grow early dark, and
sweaters worn again
even trees have changed their garb
and feel the chill of winter

~wise trees stand sleeping in the cold~

winter comes with wrath
wind and snow to lash at us
for loving autumn
the golden months of fallen
leaves, and Indian summers
