...Carnegie Libraries are treasures.
ReplyDeleteThis one is still a library, although it's a bit "ruined" as it's had a newer building incorporated into it. The front still looks good. There's another in Medford, is a children's hand-on museum.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful building. We had a Carnegie library in the city I worked until 2000. I was so sad when it closed although the roof had major leaks and the upstairs children room was no longer safe to use. It stood unoccupied for years until around 2019 and is now the culinary school for our local community college. It was and probably still is a treasure but I haven't been in the building since 2000.
