They are that always that basic shape, and look like that spray insulation stuff!
Yikes! I don´t like bugs.
Oh, but praying mantis are good insects! They eat aphids and other insects that gardeners consider "bad"! Yes, they are big and startle you, since you don't see them since they blend in (green or brown), until they move.
Interesting. I haven’t seen one on a wall before.
I run across them in all sorts of places. This one is pretty average for my yard.
