Pacific Coast Range (from a parking lot near Starbucks). Soon there will be building in that lot, if they are tall I guess the view will be gone. There are other places to see it though!
Thankfully the snow is gone! It's been raining, so I still have puddles and mud in the far back. Mickey splashes through at full speed headed to the back fence in case there's a cat lurking in the pyracantha. The calico next door, Penny, spends a lot of time in my yard. He likes Penny, other cats cause him to be quite loud! He got very muddy Monday morning, right before I dropped him off at the vet for vaccines, nail trimming, and to have nasty mats cut out. I felt terrible leaving him for them so wet muddy. He will NOT let me near him with scissors or nail clippers. They get near him, he raises his lips in a silent snarl. I back off. So, he got sedated. He also developed a fear of getting in the car. Suddenly, no reason, just refused. So, we had to distract him, tossed a quilt over his head before he knew what was happening, and my son lifted him in. Repeated on the return trip. He sleep the next two days, and obviously felt a bit off, refusing treats. Like some of us do after a 'flu shot! Mickey will remember and next time it will be a big thing. Pets... sigh... still, I wouldn't be without a dog!
Have a nice weekend.
What a beautiful dog.

ReplyDeleteNice view.
ReplyDeletePoor dog, such an ordeal.
Poor Mickey, I hope he adjusts quickly :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome boy! Our last dog had to be muzzled for nail trimming or any procedure. Our current dog is mellow and tolerates it.
