Skywatch Friday - March 28, 2025

 Skywatch Friday

We had a row of warm sunny days earlier this week.  One even reached 81°!  Then, Thursday I wore a jacket and turned the heat back on.

When it was sunny...

Plum sucker-tree.  It was a stump and suckers when I first moved in.

The biggest bumblebee I've ever seen!  It was about 5' above my head.

So big, and loud, Mickey just stood and stared!

Thursday morning...

It was raining, but the sky was clear above me.  I didn't know that's a sunshower.  Raindrops are aerodynamic and can be blown horizontally across far distances.  It made a pretty rainbow, a full half.  That's a strange phrase, "full half."

Have a nice weekend.

  2. Those flower photos against the blue sky gladdened my winter weary heart. March is so changeable - two days ago snow showers, tomorrow it will be 70 degrees.

  4. Yeah, we had that weather too (minus the rain). Our local weather report said we were warmer than Maui was on one day (Monday, I think).
