Motley Monday - October 7, 2024
More than a week to go until October's Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day, and who knows what might happen to the garden by then! Nights are getting into the 40s, so frost isn't likely, but there's a 50% chance by the 20th.
Moth mullein's second go 'round have full-size flowers on very small plants.
Same with the borage.
One of a very few New Dawn roses.
More Summer Berries yarrow, all in a pale purple.
Pretty seed heads include dandelions and Gay Butterflies butterfly weed...
and artichokes.
That's it for today!
No frost in the forecast here, either. Those are all beautiful elements in your garden. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you'll have too many blooms for the 15th. Frost already? I didn't realize it would start so soon.
ReplyDeleteI think we are safe for the 15th of the month, but I think outlying areas are going to have their first frost this week. Yes, it's interesting, and a bit sad, to see the flowers shrinking. Perhaps the annuals know the end is near, and don't bother?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, I especially like that rose!
