Farewell to Orpheus
The Weekend in Black and White
Thanks to Marina's list of photo challenges I found the one linked above that sounds interesting. I see several familiar bloggers in the list of participants too!

At the time I took this photo it had been defaced with paint left from the protests earlier in 2024. So, better in mono.
Welcome to the Challenge!
ReplyDeleteSo much lovely detail in your photo - and such a fine sculpture.
Thank you. It's exciting to find a new challege!
DeleteWhat a shame someone would deface such a beautiful sculpture with paint. Your b&w photo is perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's probably the least of what happened... It seems that some protesters involve things that have nothing to do with the issues. I guess a pack mentality, join in, get riled up in the moment.
DeleteI will never understand vandals. What a shame for your community. For example, we have a statue of Christopher Columbus in the downtown where I use to work, and that would get vandalized on occasion. So what did that prove? How did that improve the lives of Native Americans? Also, I checked that challenge out. If I remember, I'll join up next Saturday.
ReplyDeleteInteresting sculpture. And it looks great in b&w.
ReplyDeleteAmazing sculpture, great in mono!
