Skywatch Friday - November 22, 2024
It's been quite a weather-full week.
Some lovely autumn days, with lovely yellow autumn leaves on the wild grapes (and neighborhood trees).
There was some snow on the mountains and foothills.
Then the big wind. You may have read about it. It was quite a wind, but not so bad as in other parts of the PNW.
The only damage was the arch the wisteria was growing on was pulled apart when the heavy vines were blown over. It came in pieces, so I'll just caulk them together again.
I can't call the leaves being stripped off the trees and grape vines "damage," it's just nature.
Then the rain... and the puddles in the far back have begun.
Today, Friday, was actually warm! It's funny how 54° can be "warm," when it used to be cold! Not t-shirt warm, but take off your jacket and push up the sweater sleeves warm.
Who knows what the weekend will bring.
Have a nice one!
You really captured the colors
ReplyDeleteGlad that you didn't get the worst of it. It's that time of year again.
ReplyDelete...temps can be a relative thing!
ReplyDeleteNature gives, then, takes...its the boss..
ReplyDeleteNature rules for sure. 54 degrees can feel warm. It is that time of year when a person can wait five minutes for the weather to get colder or warmer. It is what it is. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWisteria can be amazingly pull down things when it blows over.
ReplyDeleteSome days in the woods here it is like it is snowing when the wind is blowing the fall leaves off the trees.
