Some close-ups, dead things, and my favorite fungus!

 New Dawn climbing rose

  morning glory seed pods

zinnias

My favorite fungus, Bird's Nest!

This is one of last year's "nests," and grey forms are last year's "eggs," the fruiting bodies that contain the reproductive spores.  Two spores remained in the nest and are now growing. If I can find the stick they're on again I'll keep track of their growth.

The young ones remind me of little custards or puffy pancakes!

    1. I am not a big fan of zinnias, they don't grow well for me, but I always try a few. I like these dried ones better than the new!
