Thursday Postcard Hunt - Christmas
Now that the hubbub of Christmas is past for the most part, let's take a few minutes to enjoy Christmas postcards, the last of the Winter theme for Thursday Postcard Hunt.
1910
Harry and David all dressed up for the holidays. Harry and David is one of my local area companies. A lot of their pears are grown in the valley. It's rare to find a long-time local who has not worked packing Harry and David seasonal gift boxes at some point in their lives! A poor photo to put on a postcard, if you ask me!
A c1920s Southern California Christmas
Santa and his dog sled team (no reason to use the reindeer if he's not planning on flying) in North Pole, Alaska. The building is the North Pole Community Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Bureau on Mistletoe Lane. Letters to Santa at the North Pole will not be delivered here though, they will be sorted back to Operation Santa, where postal workers and the public do their best to fulfill the Christmas wishes.
Glow-in-the-Dark
Love all the vintage cards you've shown - I wonder if the glow i the dark one would still work.
ReplyDelete...I love the vintage Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteThey are all wonderful cards, but..."glow in the dark"? awesome!!! and one has transparency? why don't they make them anymore?
