Sunday Stamps: Snakes, the Color Green, or Irish

In keeping with the day, St. Patrick's Day, Sunday Stamps has picked the theme of Snakes, the Color Green, or Irish stamps

No snakes, but I have some greens from Ireland.

1953, an Irish harp, in celebration of the inaugural Tostal Festival.  This celebration of Irish life only lasted a few years.

1981, featuring a stylized dog, from a decoration on a 7th century brooch.

c1944 of Mícheál Ó Cléirigh.

 Next week, Uniforms.

    1. Mine are from a childhood album, a store when my kids were home schooled, and that box of stamps I bought a few weeks ago! I have stamps in the box from 120+ countries so far!

    1. I think snakes are pretty, but when I see them (in nature) they always startle me! I don't mind handling them, I worked in a pet store in the past (not a chain).

    1. Irish and green... I thought of Kermit the Frog! Looking it up, Kermit is an Irish name! It means "free man."

  6. The 1981 definitive series is one of my favourites. You are well on the way to 40 shades of green:)

I love these vintage stamp. I think I have several versions of the second one in my album, but the others are new to me.
