The Tale of the Little Mushroom - 3-20-24
Recall that cute little mushroom I posted a week ago?
Here's what's been happening.
First, it started being nibbled at night.
And nibbled more and more...
Yesterday the stem was nibbled through, so it fell over. It also started wrinkling up.
This morning there was the trail of a slug or snail.
It still has a sort of beauty in the gills, I think.
So long little mushroom.
I wonder if it fed more than one critter.
