Q Is for Queen

Q is for Queen Lime Zinnia.

Not Queen Lime, but Green Envy.  I'm not a particular fan of zinnias, but do grow them each year.  I do not grow the green ones anymore, their color defeats the purpose of growing zinnias!  Queen Lime isn't just green though.

  1. Pretty. They grow in my flower bed very well. In fact I just plant a bunch last weekend (and the good thing is rabbits don't touch them!) That makes me smile

  2. I can see why you wouldn’t want green ones but the Queen Lime are pretty

    1. Unless they are Green Envy, then they pretty much colorless!

  4. I love zinnias. I've grown them for many, many years. They were so reliable wherever we've gardened (from Kansas to New York) make great cut flowers, attract butterflies, resist drought and grow well in the raised beds in the community garden. And, call me weird, but I like having the green zinnias. Nice contrast to the other colors.

    1. I was expecting bright colors though! I bought a six, or four, pack, with buds, but no idea what color they'd be. I have seeds now for Ice Queen, another Q one, but haven't planted them yet.

    1. They are pretty. When colorful! I guess one problem I have with them is they are dry flowers. I mean, stiff. The petals are stiff and different from other flowers.
